The Picture in Your Head

The Picture in Your Head

A Life Pattern is a blind attachment to the image YOU have formed, received, had pushed on you, absorbed, and you were long-trained to believe of yourself.

It's the picture of yourself that you carry around in your head – and your entire way of thinking, emoting, speaking, and acting is rooted and deeply based on it.

But you resist the truth of this idea. We all do. The Pattern is deeply embedded in your psyche as a result of years of very emotional interpersonal interactions. The result: it resists attempts to challenge, change, and break through it.

Initially, it's really difficult to hear that there may be a piece of you that contributed to whatever negativity you are experiencing in your life and relationships. As a result, you often prefer to place responsibility for your situation on things and factors around you.

When all you know yourself to be is the image you have of yourself, the idea of having to change that = a threat to your identity. That's why you intensely defend yourself and illogically hope that the others in your life will be the ones to change.

👋What's a false thought you catch yourself believing about yourself?
