Before You Ask Someone Else

Updated: Feb 9

Before You Ask Someone Else

When you feel a desire or drive to reach out to others for answers, have them tell you what to do, or validate and reassure you...

Stop. Ask yourself first, tune into you: how would you answer the question; what advice would you give?

Then go ahead and ask them, and notice how your answer compares to theirs. That instant, automatic drive to ask others is really about a part of you wanting attention, validation, and to be heard: by you. Until now, however, that drive has been associated with seeking validation externally.

Instead, validate you, first and foremost, and then you'll get, and be able to enjoy and appreciate, the validation you get from others.
